Paul Kangas

Paul Kangas, co-anchor and financial commentator of Nightly Business Report, is television's leading provider of daily stock market information. A former stockbroker with more than 12 years experience, Paul joined NBR when it began as a local program in 1979.

In addition to delivering the daily market summaries, he conducts the Market Monitor interview with noted market observers every Friday. He is known for his fast-paced delivery, his sharp wit, and his encyclopedic knowledge of the financial markets. Paul got his start in business broadcasting at the Miami CBS Radio affiliate, WINZ.

He also authored a syndicated weekly column in Cox Newspapers. Paul was born in Houghton, Michigan, and is a graduate of the University of Michigan. He earned his broker's license after studying at New York University's Graduate School of Business. An avid golfer and ham radio enthusiast, Paul and his wife, Peni, live in Miami.
